Have you ever receive an export compliance error and have no idea why it’s there and what you need to do to validate your quote? Well I have provided some useful information below on the different types of export compliance issues you may encounter and how to resolve them.
Based on the data on the quote, export compliance validations can place one of the following types of export-related holds on the product, the install site, or the parties involved in the transaction:
• Denied Party Hold
• Embargoed Country Hold
• Product License Hold
• Data Hold
These issues are indicated by one of the following error codes:
• SCEXP1002 – This customer is subject to the Export Review for Denied Party process. The customer data is undergoing manual review as part of the Export Compliance screening.
• SCEXP1003 – This line is under Export Review for product License Determination. The licensing requirements are being reviewed against any existing licenses as part of the Export Compliance screening.
•SCEXP1004 – Additional data is needed to complete Export Compliance screening on this line.
Normally, these problems can be resolved by simply waiting 24 hours from the time the quote was first validated and revalidate and save the quote again. This allows time for Cisco to review the export compliance information on the quote and clear any holds that might be in place. Insert more info here.
