Cisco Service Quote(s) Pending Registration Referencing
4/17/12 6:20 AM
Hi everyone, We recently ordered 6 Cisco switches from a third party vendor. I received the below email from Cisco asking me to register the products with them to activate the Support Contract. I clicked on the provided link, but I got the attached screen shot error message "This functionality is not available at this time". i need to activate this support contract as soon as possible, but I am seemingly unable to. I've tried responding to the email to try to get support assistance, but they have not responded.

Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
Ed

RE: Cisco Service Quote(s) Pending Registration Referencing

Hello Ed,

My first suggestion, since you've mentioned you want to get this quote registered as soon as possible, would be to open a case with support and ask for assistance in doing so. Without looking at the quote, I can't say for certain if the quote is waiting for serial numbers or site information to register (pending registration quotes in SMS3 are quotes that have been ordered, but are missing SNs or Site Details so can't fully convert to contract yet.). I'd say include the address details and serial numbers when opening the case.

As for the issue you reported - I'd say that support should also look into that. It may be best to mention that.

Just as one point of clarification - are you the customer on this contract or the reseller? Your response sounds like you're the customer, but the email itself seems targetted at the reseller.

Thanks,
Ben
